The Montecasino, an idyllic re-creation of a Tuscan village, was painstakingly and authentically built, creating the feeling that you’re under the Tuscan sky, complete with sidewalk cafes and village life, when in fact, the whole village has a roof covering it.

Seven different settings depict life in the “village”-representing elite uptown Tuscan neighbourhoods to the more quaint fishing village way of life. Complete with cobble stones, piazzas, and fountains, the surreal feeling of being transported to Tuscany is immediate. The selection of eateries is immense, with 18 restaurants to choose from- offering Portuguese, Mediterranean, Oriental, Italian, Asian fusion, African fusion, seafood, as well as grill houses, plus 4 coffee shops, and 11 fast food outlets offering pies, middle eastern cookery, seafood, pancakes, and the ever popular burger.

There are six pubs to choose from - some of them offering live entertainment, dance floors, cocktails, and of course, food, the choice depends entirely on your taste.  Their cinema complex has 15 theatres each equipped with the latest ground-breaking sound technology, as well as one of them having the largest commercial screen in Africa.

The live theatre and studio facilities offer both new and established artists, as well as you, the captive audience, an opportunity of delight. Montecasino also has an amazing bird park, with over 142 species-blue-eyed cockatoos, hyacinth macaws with their unbelievable cobalt plumage, as well  Prevost Squirrels, with their unique black, red and white colouring, and two-toed sloths, they also have an impressive array of brightly coloured newts, chameleons, and Madagascan Ground Boas, to mention but a few.
